We are thrilled to welcome Elmar Lampson—renowned composer, conductor, and artistic innovator—to TYB Arts.
With an extensive repertoire spanning orchestral, choral, chamber, and operatic works, Lampson’s music has been recorded by Sony Classical and col legno. He co-founded the Hörwelten festival and led the Orchester-Akademie Hamburg for 15 years.
Throughout his career, Lampson has collaborated with legendary composers, including György Ligeti, Sofia Gubaidulina, Arvo Pärt, and Alfred Schnittke. His music explores profound contrasts—blending tonality and atonality, pentatonic and twelve-tone structures, and richly textured clusters—resulting in a deeply expressive and unique musical language.
